I have to change a Palm T3 for about three years and only had to get the battery. There was no problem, works well with WiFi and Bluetooth. The script works reasonably well and good to take notes on the move. Easily send contacts via my Nokia phone. The screen is good and strong. Compatible with Windows and Apple computers. Word, Excel and PDF files to open and good, but PowerPoint would be an additional cost, the video is also a separate program with a cost of something (but I have an iPod) for the use of the species. It functions like a MP3 player, audio notes ....
It was very useful.
A friend with an iPaq had many problems with the reliability, however, was a few years now (used elsewhere).

I was lucky with products, palm and uses them for years. I find them more intuitive and easy to use with MS-based PDA.
At the moment I have a TX.
The only way to really know is to work and using both for some time, was borrowed from a friend and experience.
Smartphones are comprehensive and can serve as PDAs as well.
It depends on what you do with your PDA.
My TX allows me to go online via WiFi, the message verification response, working with documents and spreadsheets, MS, stick to my calendar, contacts, notes, notes, reading news, etc. .. Use an MP3 player, movies and videos, has a book by hand, using Google Maps for Mobile, a casual game.
It's better than if possible and see what you are trying.
Good luck.

I used to work for a service and test all mobile! Botje hate, but if you avoid a hand under any circumstances! They are evil! And customer service is aweful for them! I use a Blackberry and will not return!
